Art Dialogue, o.s. 1989

ArtDialogue builds cultural discourse through creativity, research, the public and experiential local learning. It is a non-profit organization working in sustainable education via the arts and sciences, with international outreach that ultimately has the potential to affect policy. We produce exhibitions, catalogues, educational programs, workshops and other visual manifestations to promote our goals of stewardship of the planet and social change.

Established in 2004 in Prague, the initial impulse came out of the turbulent and inspiring events in Central Europe in 1989. U.S. artist Barbara Benish, along with many artists and friends, helped organize an art exchange between Los Angeles and Prague during that time. It was the first time in nearly forty years that not only art, but also the artists, experienced one another's cultures first hand, as the totalitarian regimes were dismantled and the borders opened.

Presently our goals & objectives are to:

  • Open a dialogue to Culture as a key pillar in sustainable development.
  • Foster creativity in the individual, and to that end social change in recognition of civil society.
  • Promote sustainable creativity via experiential, enviromental education and cross- cultural exchange.
  • Support women, girls and local culture via all programming, scholarship and employment practices.
  • Produce international outreach activities that connect waste and consumption practices with ocean health.
