Depending on interest, either animation or digital filmmaking will be offered.

The animation class introduces youth to the principles of animation and three different techniques including pixilation (where real people are used as stop-motion puppets), claymation and found object animation.  Students are encouraged to experiement with both motion and material.

The digital filmmaking course teaches basic concepts with exercises in point-of-view, and capturing the "essence" of a subject of choice. Students might select a person, place, animal, or thing at the camp and use video to express its unique nature as they see it.  Through the lens of the camera, students choose their own form of expression, which may be conveyed through narrative storytelling, interviews, music, natural sound, and the capturing of form, texture, color and movement from the surrounding environment.  Older students might come prepared with more developed concepts and story ideas.
