Kitchens

Our two kitchens are indoors but they blend into the gardens in the summer, with pots and pans and baskets traveling back and forth all day preparing for the main luncheon meal. We nearly always eat outside. The kitchens are busy from morning to night, filled with our fantastic cook and helpers, and the inveterate student who needs to "help" (translates: "eat") and learn new recipes (translates: "eat"). Our cooks always have a pot of coffee or tea brewing, and an extra chair for the teachers to hang out between classes. As our home-grown food is an integral part of life at ArtMill, we encourage all visitors to pitch into this community activity from garden to kitchen to table.
