Performing Arts

Dance classes are held in the modern gymnasium at Šafrankova Škola, a nearby schoolhouse up on the hill and across the lake.  With a smooth wooden floor, it is an excellent facility for movement. Otherwise, the classes are held in a special room in the mill.  Theatre is down in the barn, where we have a much-used costume collection, and lots of room to move around. Miriam Tobim, who runs her own theatre group in New York, is the teacher. Music classes are available upon individual request. ArtMill has a grand piano, violins, guitars, as well as electronic keyboard and computer programs for composing. Teachers vary each year, and they are always gifted in passing on how to open ourselves to self-expression.
